One on One - Normal Match Shelton Benjamin vs KENTA
An exciting, fast paced and extremely competitive match to start of the very first show of UCW. Benjamin and KENTA went back and forth, trading spots, but in the end it was KENTA who came out on top after hitting a Busaiku Knee to a springboarding Shelton Benjamin which kept him down for the 3 count.
Two on Two - Tag Team Match The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) vs Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd
Simply put, this was a walkover. Konnor and Viktor worked well together isolating and picking apart Justin Gabriel, and Tyson Kidd was unable to save his partner as Konnor prevented him from breaking up the pin.
One on One - Diva's Match Bayley vs Charlotte
Brilliant display by the divas. Bayley put up a good fight but Charlotte proved too good for her as she locks in her figure 4 leg lock and forces Bayley to tap.
One on One - Normal Match Adam Rose vs Alveuss
This match was fairly even for the most part. However, as Rose looked to be in control he spent too much time dancing and celebrating with his "Rose Buds" before putting Alveuss away and turned around into a Superkick from the Scotsman. The relatively unknown superstar then proceeded to climb to the top rope and steadied himself before hitting Rose with a beautifully executed Red Arrow and pinned him.
One on One - Normal Match Shark Boy vs Drew Galloway
Shark Boy had no chance as Galloway took the fight right to him. With almost no offence, Shark Boy is put out of his misery as Drew hits him with his signature Future Shock DDT and pins him. As the bell hits and the Scotsman is celebrating his victory, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal make their way down towards the ring, Heath holding 2 guitars and Jinder with a sitar. Drew is then asked to reform the rock band, 3MB and takes one of the guitars from Slater. Just as the Scotsman looks to have accepted the invitation he hits Heath over the head with the guitar, shattering the instrument, and delivers a vicious boot to the face of Mahal. He wasn't done there though, with Heath unconscious on the mat, Drew lifts up Jinder and hooks his arms, delivering a Future Shock to his former band member and leaving both men broken in the ring before leaving.
One on One - Normal Match Jinder Mahal vs Cobros
With all the work done for him, the superstar WCCW has nothing to do but pick Jinder up and hit him with his signature Cobra Cutter and pin him for the win.
Two on Two - Tag Team Match Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs Austin Aries and Bobby Roode
Another closely fought match which really could have gone either way but in the end it was London and Kendrick that came out on top when Brian Kendrick pinned Bobby Roode after he capitalized on some miscommunication between Roode and Aries.
Main Event
One on One w/manager - Normal Match Randy Orton vs CM Punk w/AJ Lee
A fantastic main event to end the very first show. Orton looked to be in control for the majority of the match but couldn't put the straight edge superstar away and in the end Punk got Orton up and delivered a GTS, pinning the viper. | |
